Harper Flexographic Center Adds Comco Press
For Growing Phoenix Challenge Competition
Charlotte, NC - March 1, 2004 - Brett Fansler, Division Director of Applied
Technologies, Central Piedmont Community College’s Southwest Campus, announced
the recent installation of an additional Comco flexographic press in their
Harper National Flexographic Center.
The Comco press was acquired to accommodate the growing number of students
participating in the annual International Phoenix Challenge High School
Flexographic Competition, as well as being utilized in the school’s ongoing
hands-on study of flexography. The addition now gives the Harper Center a total
of four flexographic presses; one MA 830, one MA Scout and two 7" Comco presses.
Fansler expressed appreciation to Harper Corporation of America, Flexographic
Technical Association, Mark Andy, Master Graphics and The Phoenix Challenge
Foundation for their ongoing support and for their combined efforts in obtaining
the Comco press.
